Our 1st grade program starts to take lacrosse up a notch.  The boys are introduced to helmet and gloves.  It is a great progression from the K program with having to go “full pads”.  We start to use real lacrosse balls as well as the “pinkie”.  The emphasis is on fun and development.  We continue to focus on the fundamentals of the game – catching, throwing, & ground balls.  There are more scrimmages and usually opportunities to play neighboring towns.  The boys will receive an LS Lacrosse uniform (shorts & jersey).
